Skin is the largest organ in the body, as most may have heard before. Skin in most ways is a reflection of your lifestyle and environment around you, the good and the bad. I wanted to start off by saying something that might sound silly to some, but don't judge me for- I've always wished for even better skin then I've had. I know, I know... I've been lucky for most of my life (besides the puberty years of course) with even, glowing skin. I love my skin deeply, and have gotten to a place where 50 percent of the time I am confident without makeup hiding it. However, the things that are out of my control like the environment or natural life stresses have taken a toll on my skin from at times in ways I couldn't control even with my seemingly perfect skincare routine and healthy lifestyle. I hated how I felt I could have even better, less reactive skin if the things I couldn't control were things I suddenly could control. It made me crazy that all the probiotics and sugar free days I could do weren't doing 100 percent. I had to unfortunately try to accept that there are some things out of your control with the quality if your skin.
But that was then, and this is now. I wanted to introduce you guys to a new product called Adaptogen Deep Moisture cream from one of my go-to skincare lines for natural beauty, Youth to the People. The product most notably contains Adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms, which work together to calm skin from the things that are outside all of our control like the environmental pollutants, UV rays, and just stress in general. Featuring a Proprietary Adaptogen Blend consisting of Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Reishi, and Holy Basil, you're clearly in good, clean hands with the hydrating wonder. Now you CAN adapt to whatever comes your way in life and theres no looking back.
This past weekend I got to experience their Adapt experience room on site at their pop up at ROW DTLA. The experience in the art installation reminded me in words and images both still and moving to stop and take a moment, to adapt to what life throws at you, but never forget to enjoy and breathe in the In-between moments of life. That every moment, both the messy and the still, it’s important to embrace, and adapt.
