You know it's the holiday season when suddenly, you're walking around a mall, a boutique, Barneys...and the faint sound of Christmas music fills the air, and you start to see Red velvet gowns and glittery dresses left and right. And there you have it, you're trapped in the middle of the holiday season before you were ready.  It always seems to creep up on me, one second its the middle of the year then next you see holiday party looks on mannequins and you realize the year is ending right before your eyes. One thing that always happens to me around this time is I can't help but fall for what the store fronts are selling- sequins, silver and gold, everything velvet. It's the one time of year where I buy more statement shiny pieces than any other. Festive dressing doesn't have to be super lady like and expected, though. This time around , I fell in love with chunky ear cuffs and rhinestone jewels and brooches, and now instead of a sparkly mini dress in red, I found a sequined but slouchy pull over that I threw on over my daily Levis, and there you have it- holiday dressing, my new favorite way. A look that could be cute for the holiday gathering, and the morning after just the same.
